Hiking in the Alps: pristine nature, stunning landscapes and ancient trails

In summer and fall, the hiking options available in the Livigno area range from relaxing strolls to extremely challenging ascents. The beautiful scenery of Stelvio Nature Park and the Swiss National Park, Alpine flora and fauna, and stunning panoramic trails will leave an indelible impression in your memory. The hike from Baitel from Plascianet is a must, and the trail through Val Tort leads to sulfur springs: these are just some of the excursions that await you in Alta Valtellina.

Trekking

A thick network of trails that reaches the most hidden corners of our Alps. Layouts and paths that will enable you to discover high picks, breathtaking landskapes and hidden corners both in Valtellina and in Switzerland: this is Livigno, a silent paradise for trekkers and walkers.
Many are the trekking possibilities for all levels: walks to discover our natural treasures, excursions to the most hidden picks, excursions of more than one day with the possibility of sleeping and eating in Alpine refuges.

Nordic Walking

Get rid of all your muscular tensions and plunge into nature, Livigno is waiting for you to try Nordic Walking! This new way of walking enables you to accelerate, slow down and stop without forcing your muscles and your circulatory system, to keep fit, in contact with nature and in the open air of Livigno.
To do it, you only need a pair of trekking poles and adequate shoes; the guides will be happy to show you how to do it and to accompany you to discover the most suggestive trails, both in winter and in summer.

Golf Club

A few kilometers from Livigno you will have the opportunity of experimenting a peculiar diversion to spend Your summer days in the mountains, golf! Bormio Golf in undoubtedly one of the best mountain golf courses in Italy: splendid view of the surrounding peaks, ideal climate, always fresh and dry, eccellent the maintenance. The course is open from April to November, every day. In Livigno you can find a unique driving range area, 10,000 square meters composed by a pitch and putt area, a driving range of 250 mt and three greens with various difficulties. 

Climbing

Climbers can enjoy in Livigno some artificial and some natural walls. In the Livigno center is possible to climb an outdoor tower of 17 meters, instead for natural walls it's possible to climb Fopel and Trepalle walls. 

Horse riding

For nature and animal lovers we recommend a visit to the horse riding school to book an excursion on horseback or a riding lesson for beginners or experts. Livigno offers a riding school in the center to learn how to ride in Livigno. For beginners and beginners starting from the age of three.

Fishing and picking mushrooms

For fishing lovers Livigno offers many tiny lakes both in the high mountains and at the bottom of the valley.
For those who like going mushrooming now it is possible to do it everywhere in Alta Valtellina (except for the Stelvio National Park)

Running

Summer skiing

For those who cannot give up skiing not even in summer the Stelvio Glacier, the biggest glacier in Europe, is less than an hour from Livigno! 2 cablecars, 6 ski-lifts, Snowpark and cross-country skiing track- all that at an altitude that goes from 2760 to 3450 meters above sea level, open from June to November.

Sport on the Lake

The Livigno lake, just recently navigable, will give you the opportunity of experiencing unique emotions by canoe, kayak or on a windsurf.

Larix Park

Aren't you tired enough? You can finish your day at the Larix Park, a fun park both for children and adults made only of larch trees and open both in winter and summer.

Triathlon in Livigno

The Triathlon in Livigno has been home for years, as there are all the services necessary to practice this multisport discipline. For cycling, Livigno offers kilometers of flat roads and some of the most beautiful passes in Italy, for swimming the Aquagranda has a 25 meter swimming pool and for running the Livigno cycle path is perfect. At Alpen Village it is also possible to use of the fully equipped gym for Triathlon training sessions linked to muscle strengthening. At the end of the season is held the IconXtreme, one of the toughest and most extreme Triathlon competitions with athletes from all over the world who challenge each other climbing the Stelvio and the peaks over 3000 meters.
